The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC)

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of the Commonwealth of Dominica has been established to coordinate an      effective regulatory regime to enhance the operation of telecommunications in the interest of the sustainable development of Dominica. Dominica is a signatory to the Treaty establishing the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) which was signed in St. George's, Grenada on May 4th. 2000 to promote open competition in telecommunications, harmonize policies on a regional level for telecommunications, and to provide for a universal service, fair pricing and the use of cost-based pricing methods by telecommunications providers. Local Number Portability (LNP) Services to be Launched in ECTEL Member States

Castries, Saint Lucia – 21st September 2018   The Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) is pleased to announce that Local Number Portability (LNP) services will be launched in all ECTEL Member States on Monday, 19th November 2018This date was agreed upon at a meeting of the ECTEL LNP Working Group which has held on 11th and 12th September 2018 in St. George’s Grenada.
